Purchasing Sidebuddy

Is the purchase price of Sidebuddy tax deductible?

The ATO says:

“Expenses for managing your own tax affairs are tax deductible.”

Sidebuddy has been tested and is listed on the ATO Software Product Register.

We can't give advice on your specific tax situation.

We called them and asked them if we personally could deduct it. They said yes, we could. We asked our accountant, and they said yes, we could.

For advice about your own specific tax situation, ask your tax adviser or accountant.

Will I receive a Tax Invoice?

Yes, as soon as you have been billed after your trial period.

How does the 7 day free trial work?

You must sign up for Sidebuddy before you can start using it, including providing payment information.

However, to give you a fair chance of evaluating the system, we delay billing for 7 days.

During that 7 days, you can start using Sidebuddy. If you cancel before midnight on the 7th day, your credit card data is deleted and you will not be billed.

You can cancel your account by clicking the 'Cancel account' button on your Account page.

When will you bill my credit card?

After your 7 day free trial period ends. You will receive a tax invoice by email once you have been billed. Your credit card data is then permanently deleted from our database.

What methods of payment are accepted?

We accept all major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Diners Club.

At the moment, you may only pay online by credit card. If there is demand for another way, please let us know and we will see what we can work out.

Why do you need my mobile phone number?

We record your mobile phone number against your logbook. When messages come in, we use this to match them up with your logbook.

I typed in the wrong mobile number. How do I change it?

You can change all of your details on the Accounts page.

Are my details secure when signing up for Sidebuddy?

Yes.

We use SSL technology to secure your information (look for the little padlock on your browser).

We encrypt all your sensitive information on our database so that it can't be read by anyone.

What if my card is declined?

If billing your card fails, then we will contact you. You will be able to enter a new card.

What is the currency of the transaction?

Australian dollars. Google will help you work out what that is in other currencies.

I live in Canada. Am I able to use Sidebuddy?

Absolutely. We have limited ourselves at first to one currency/language/SMS gateway but we are expanding quickly. Get in touch and we'll get it sorted out.
